On May 7th, we sent our twenty-seventh batch of questions to Hasbro to once again take part in their
Star Wars Question and Answer sessions. Today, we've got the answers to our two questions!
1) In an answer last time, you mentioned that the upcoming Vintage Collection Magnaguard was originally scheduled for another round of now-cancelled Droid Factory packs. Are there any more figures from those cancelled sets that will make their way into the line somehow?
** Excellent question. The answer, right now is "no" but not for lack of wanting to include more of the figures somewhere. Most of them, however, were firmly EU figures (drawn from the comics, for the most part) which does not leave them a lot of options for homes right now. There are some great figures in there, and we will keep looking for ways to bring them out, though. Stay tuned!
2) Recently, you confirmed both a "Sandtrooper" and/or "Stormtrooper" repack in Wave 2 of the Vintage Collection (VC14). We're guessing it may have something to do with the Sandtrooper being a "Tatooine Stormtrooper" or something. Can you clear up for us definitively which one we're getting. Also, can you clear up which Clone Trooper is in Vintage Wave 2 - plain white, Shocktrooper, 501st, or something else?
** Well, we made a mistake that's for sure. You see, the intent was to include a Sandtrooper in Vintage, but the slot for this figure had "Stormtrooper" in in our database and so we were sure that a regular Stormie was on his way. Surprise, surprise, our design team did spec the right figure and we are pleased to say that the first "Sandtrooper" on a Vintage card will be coming in Vintage Wave 2....at long last! We can also confirm that the Clone Trooper will be plain white.
