Hasbro Star Wars Q&A - Session 26
On April 9th, we sent our twenty-sixth batch of questions to Hasbro to once again take part in their Star Wars Question and Answer sessions. Today, we've got the answers to our two questions!
1) Based on a recent Q&A answer, it looks like the four "new" figures in the Revenge of the Sith wave will be Senate Duel Palpatine, Anakin Skywalker, General Grievous, and Magnaguard. We've seen the picture of Grievous and we've read the recap on Palpatine. How about a quick rundown on the changes/upgrades being made to Anakin and Magnaguard that make them "new"?
** Anakin has a new head and arms with Sith eye deco (insert molded shoulders and elbows and pivot wrists). The Magnaguard is essentially all new, including new highly articulated legs (from a cancelled exclusive Droid Factory sequel); new torso from the waist up insert shoulder, elbows, hips, waist, knees, ankles, pivot wrist, ball neck); and a fabric cape.
2) At Toy Fair, you mentioned that the new AT-AT (and two other TBD vehicles) would be getting special TRU exclusive "kenner/vintage homage" packaging. The packaging wasn't ready as of Toy Fair... any chance it's ready now so that we can get a sneak peek of the modern interpretation of the classic vintage box? And any comment on the rumor that the starship of our favorite smuggler just might be another one of the ships getting the vintage package treatment?
** Actually, we said that only the AT-AT in Vintage packaging would be a TRU exclusive. The other two, which are Starfighter-size, are coming to another retailer later this Fall. So that rules out the Slave 1 being re-released in Vintage packaging. As for how the package will look, Star Wars Insider will be debuting this in an upcoming issue, so new preview is available. Sorry!
