The UK Supreme Court has ruled against Lucasfilm in the final appeal of their ongoing copyright case against British prop designer, Andrew Ainsworth. The court ruled that Stormtrooper Armor, which was originally built by Ainsworth, was technically a functional work rather than an artistic one, and therefore not subject to full UK copyright laws.
